Pest Management Conservation System

Drainage Water Management

EQIP funds the change, CSP rewards the practice

If you're installing new equipment or converting fields, EQIP is where the cost-share dollars are. If you're already running cover crops, split fertility, or section-control planting on most of your Minnesota acres, CSP will pay you annually to maintain and enhance them. Many Minnesota producers layer both — EQIP this year to install, CSP the year after to be paid for operating.

NRCS limits each EQIP contract to $450,000 per person or legal entity; under the current farm-bill extension no separate aggregate per-producer limit applies (it applied to 2018 Farm Bill contracts through FY2023).
